I am a recent college graduate (B.S. in Psychology/Philosophy) who has had a lifelong education in the world of antiques and collectibles.
Some of my earliest memories are shopping with my grandmother, my first "find" was a pair of bifocals ($8.00) that we sold less than a week later ($100.00). Since that time, I've grown to love the game - finding items, discovering their past, selling them, making money... all of it.
My grandmother has gotten older and is no longer able to maintain her antique business on her own. She has also filled her house with boxes of items to be sold. As her house has become hard to navigate, she is in great need of emptying a great quantity of incredibly diverse items from the boxes in every room.
I am taking 12 months off of school in order to save money for law school (which I will begin Fall '08). On top of working a full time job, I have undertaken the monumental task of aiding my grandmother in cleaning the hundreds of boxes from her home. My reward? - All monies raised are being saved in an account to be used in paying for law school, law text books, and general survival during my 3 years at school.
